Wildlife and rustic scenery is hand painted on Colorado's natural sandstone, and sets on hand carved sturdy tree branches!

Hi I'm Laurie. My goal as an artist is to illustrate the natural beauty and history the state of Colorado has to offer. The rocks I use are carefully chosen off family property from the Rocky Mountains of Northern Colorado. They are delicately hand painted with watercolors to depict western wildlife and the cherished times of the 19th and early 20th centuries. They are finished with a polyurethane waterproof sealant.

The rock paintings are currently all made to order.
Similar rock paintings to what you will see in the rock shop can be made. The rocks are individually found in nature so the pieces can not be perfectly duplicated. They will be close to the original and yet still be unique and individual. Maybe you have an idea of your own for a rock paintings. An attachment of the finished product will be available for you to view before purchasing is necessary.  Check out the Request page!
